Almond Milk!

I made almond milk!!  They ran out of almond milk at the store so I thought I would make my own.  I’ve always wanted to make almond milk with my Vitamix (which came with a nut milk bag).  And plus reading the ingredients on commercial brands of almond milk make me wonder if it really is good for me since something that is supposed to be extremely perishable somehow has such a long shelf-life in the stores…

The recipe can be found here:  I added nutmeg and cardamon, and used date sugar instead of dates (since I didn’t have any dates).  The almond milk tasted absolutely delicious by itself, and even better with my vegan cookies from Sweets from the Earth. 🙂

I used it in many other recipes such as my macaroni pie, and I used the resulting almond fibre to bake bread.
