Restaurant Hot-Spot(light): Tori’s Bakeshop

Nestled in the heart of the Beaches in Toronto there is a quaint and serene vegan bakeshop that serves all of the baked goods your little heart can desire.  Tori’s Bakeshop is the real deal.  Quiet and comfortable with oodles of comfy chairs beckoning any prospective reader to sit… I will definitely go back there for a summer time treat!!

Pictured below is my sweet potato muffin and a slice of their campfire cornmeal loaf. It goes without saying that both were yummy.  Go early in the week to see the whole selection of their baked goods (including pizza pockets).  Their stuff go fast — as I learned the hard way…

Some friends and I went to see the Blue Jays game against the Detroit Tigers on Canada Day.  The Jays won (of course).  While trying to understand what was going on and instead of snacking on the overpriced crap they usually sell at these things, I bought a BBQ tofu sandwich on a whole wheat olive bun from Urban Herbivore just before I arrived at the Rogers Centre.  I would recommend Urban Herbivore in Toronto for good, quick vegan fare anytime!
